About Me
Val Timin is a localist, environmentalist, entrepreneur, and cofounder of Tucson's first zero waste shop, Cero. In 2019, Val opened Cero, a zero waste pop-up shop that has since grown to a brick & mortar store, sustainable event space, and online shop. Before opening Cero, Val's career has been focused around marketing, social media, and events which she still enjoys doing today.
More recently establishing her second company, MVT Marketing, Val helps other small business owners establish and grow their businesses through digital marketing.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Palo Verde Neighborhood Association as President, overseeing many projects and supporting the different committees.
Val has previously volunteered extensively and served on the board for other local organizations like Local First Arizona and Tucson Young Professionals.
Val graduated from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona with her Bachelors in Business Administration.
Outside of work, Val enjoys birding, cycling, and camping.
